MY TWO YEAR NATURAL HAIR ANNIVERSARY

I did it I did it!!Yes you guys I have made it to my 2 year natural hair anniversary. My last relaxer and the day I decided I was going to go "natural" was May 2010. I transitioned for about 10 months and on my 21st birthday in January 2011 I did my "big chop".It was such a life changing experience for me. I had so many emotions going on at once that day;I cried tears of joy then sorrow,I felt liberated then boxed in. I had(and still have) some rough times with my hair;trying the find the right products and hairstyles for me. Even though it was a tough thing for me to, I never have had any regrets for my choice. Now I'm not the type of person who will force the idea of being natural should be for everyone because I really feel that it's not. I believe that you should know whats right and what works for you, and whether that's weave,texturizers, relaxers, natural,whatever..do what works for you and what makes you feel good. I love my natural hair so much and I am so happy that I made that change for me. I feel so much more like myself, and I have gained this new respect for myself where I don't feel like I need to impress anyone but myself.
